In response to Venezuela’s now-routine toilet paper shortages, the Venezuelan government has seized a major toilet paper factory in the state of Aragua.
On September 20, Vice President Jorge Arreaza tweeted, “The Higher Authority for the People’s Defense Economy does not allow hoarding, or faults in production/distribution of essential commodities.” He went on to tweet, “The temporary occupation of Manpa seeks to verify the process of production, marketing, and distribution of toilet paper.”
