Gradually, the shortage of paper in Venezuela is extending beyond newspapers. This week, it has reached the movies: Caracas theaters now lack the special paper used to print tickets, so they’re making do with handwritten slips of paper and stamps.
On a white sheet, employees write down the title of the film, starting time, hall, and the seats chosen by the customer. They then sign and slap a stamp on it to prove the authenticity.
