Spanish – The accusations against the Catholic church as the architect of, and accomplice to, illicit activities are not new. In fact, after the proliferation of numerous scandals, not only from the hand of reports like the one reproduced by the Boston Globe newspaper, as well as investigations made by other publications, criticism has been accumulating. For this reason, today, it is not surprising that there is another complaint about the Holy See: the presence of people who work in the interests of the globalist elite.
This has not been a spontaneous effort, far from it. Quite the contrary. It has taken years to reach the heart of the church. It is practically a surgical task. A painstaking procedure. A project that has been underway since the 1990s, according to Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, the former Vatican nuncio to the United States, in an interview with Steve Bannon in the War Room.
This group of infiltrators, according to Vigano, is called the “deep church.” Their mission is to accomplish a series of goals to reach the heart of that institution. Their goal? The focus is one, and it concentrates on demolishing the papacy and securing power. This power. Now, such collaboration does not go alone. He argues that the “deep state” in the United States is also involved.
The partnership mentioned earlier occurs on many levels. In his remarks, Vigano explains that the deep church and the “deep state” have cooperation that first occurred when contacts were facilitated around 1990 through a former US cardinal who carried out political missions in China on behalf of the US administration.
The term “deep state” describes the belief that influential people behind the scenes allegedly control US government policy. “Most of them are identifiable, but the most dangerous are those who are not exposed. Those that the newspaper never mentions,” Vigano explained in the interview.
China’s intervention in clergy affairs
These frameworks also point to the presence of the Chinese communist regime. Specifically, the Archbishop refers to the agreement that took place in 2018 between China and the Vatican. This cooperation gave the Chinese regime the authority to appoint bishops. Similarly, Pope Francis was given the right to veto his appointments, according to a report by the US Congress Executive Committee on China in 2019. That agreement was extended in October 2020 for another two years, the Epoch Times also reported.
There was, in the opinion of the Holy See, a justification for this cooperation, which has been controversial since its inception. In this regard, the Vatican said that the agreement was purely ecclesiastical and pastoral in nature, not political, explained AP. However, it was later noted that the ongoing dialogue would allow for discussion of other issues, including human rights abuses.
This is a curious fact since the Vatican has rarely, if ever, denounced China for its repression and other human rights abuses. It is customary for the Holy See to remain silent on these issues when they involve the communist regime prominent in Asia.
“Until the papacy of Benedict XVI, no agreement had been made with the Beijing dictatorship… The Roman Pontiff retained the exclusive right to appoint bishops and govern dioceses,” said the archbishop, who later turned his accusations to one of the possible authors that led to this agreement: the Chinese Communist Party.
The intentions to seal this cooperation were diverse, and Vigano breaks them down as the text progresses. In the first place, he alludes that “China is following an internal plan to restore Maoist tyranny, which requires the cancellation of religions, replacing them with a state religion.” In his opinion, this “has many elements in common with the universal religion desired by the globalist ideology.”
The covenants agreed in 2018 and extended in 2020 also have other beneficiaries, which are not directly mentioned in the first lines. That is why the archbishop declared it later and reaffirmed that “the dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is allied with the deep global state on the one hand so that together they can achieve the objectives they have in common.
That is why Vigano called the China-Vatican agreement an act of complicity between the globalists of the deep church with the Chinese communist regime allied with the global deep state. It was a way for the CCP to boom in this territory after it broke ties with the Vatican shortly after taking power in 1949.
The Vigano controversies
Archbishop Vigano has been no stranger to scandals. His involvement in the political arena has not gone unnoticed. For example, in July 2020, the priest published a letter addressed to US President Donald Trump, expressing his support in what he called a “spiritual battle” of “biblical” proportions.
On this occasion, Vigano warned the US president about the enemy he had to face, which, in his opinion, was the so-called deep state. The text also referred to the protests that occurred after the death of George Floyd, which were questioned by the religious. In the missive, he said it was a plan with electoral purposes and criticized leaders of the Catholic Church for playing in favor of those who want to destroy American society, reported Diario Las Americas.
In June 2020, with rather sharp prose, Vigano also showed what was being woven within the clergy, with the intervention of the so-called “deep church.” In this regard, he wrote that “there are faithful shepherds who take care of Christ’s flock, but there are also unfaithful mercenaries who seek to scatter the flock and deliver the sheep to be devoured by hungry wolves. It is not surprising that these mercenaries are allies of the children of darkness and hate the children of light: just as there is a deep state, there is also a deep church that betrays its duties and renounces its proper commitments before God.”
Although it was several months ago, the discourse observed in that letter has not changed. It now takes on new nuances, but it also focuses on making a serious call about what may be happening in the church.
“We must all become aware of how much the defenders of the New World Order and the Great Restoration hate the inalienable values of our Greek-Christian civilization, such as religion, the family, respect for life, and the inviolable rights of the human person, and national sovereignty,” the Archbishop closed in one of the questions. The warning is here; it is time to be vigilant in fulfilling it.
