EspañolExports from Florida to Latin America have increased this year, now hovering around US$85 billion, according to David Schwartz, the executive director of Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA). Schwartz said on Wednesday that there are seven Latin American countries among Florida’s major partners, with Brazil and Colombia taking the lead.

On the other side of the equation, imports from Latin America are not far behind. During the 30th Latin American Conference on Foreign Trade taking place in Miami, Schwartz noted that these total nearly US$73 billion. Other important trade partners on the list are China, Costa Rica, Chile, Japan, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, and Honduras.
