EspañolYesterday morning, ten guerrillas from the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) died in a bombing carried out by Colombia’s military. They attacked ELN guerrillas within their camp in the rural zone of Tame, Arauca.
In a statement, military officials said one of the victims was “Pony,” a ten-year veteran of the ELN and leader of the Domingo Laín campaign front. They also captured two wounded guerrillas and seized guns, ammunition, food, explosives, and documents.
The Domingo Laín front operates throughout Tame, Fortul, and Saravena. Colombian authorities blame this guerrilla front for attacks against energy infrastructure, railways, security forces, and civilians.
