Mexican President to Modify Constitution for Investment

Enrique Peña Nieto, president of Mexico, has introduced a motion to reform the Mexican Constitution as it relates to the oil industry in order to gain competitiveness and attract foreign investment.

This reform will “make the energy sector one of the most powerful motors of the national economy,” he says, since it will share the risks of exploration and extraction associated with unconventional deposits of oil.
