EspañolLilian Tintori, wife of Venezuelan political prisoner Leopoldo Lopez, met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Tuesday, May 16, to discuss the country’s political crisis and request assistance in freeing the political prisoners of dictator Nicolás Maduro.
“I told Justin Trudeau that we have been protesting peacefully for 46 days, and how Maduro gives orders to repress Venezuelans who want a better country,” she wrote on her Twitter. “I told him that Maduro does not respect democracy, that he has initiated two coups d’état.”
