Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell was among the main targets of Chinese spy Christine Fang (Twitter).

Spanish – The case of Chinese espionage in US politics between 2011 and 2015 has generated uproar among important figures in that country, who are demanding the declassification of the government report that would reveal the extent of relations between Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell and Chinese spy Christine Fang.

Fang, a spy for the Chinese communist regime, established links with local and national politicians, with only one intention: to influence the US government to benefit the Xi Jinping regime.

One of these links was Eric Swalwell, the Democratic Congressman from California, who is part of the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee.

Donald Trump Jr., son of the current president of the United States, supported the idea of declassifying the report, which was put forward by the conservative commentator Mike Cernovich, according to The Post Millennial.

The case was revealed by Axios after a year of investigation, which details that Fang’s role would have been to help place at least one intern in Swalwell’s office. Additionally, she interacted with the congressman at multiple events over several years.

The short memory of the Democrats

We must not forget the obsession of the Democrats after the 2016 presidential elections when Donald Trump was elected president of the United States. They claimed that the Republican leader had colluded with Russia to interfere in the elections.

The complaint was based on the fact that Russia had carried out a campaign through social media to promote the vote in favor of the Republican candidate.

Allegedly, the publication of false accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube generated more than 300 million interactions from US Internet users between 2015 and 2017.

Among the main targets of the Internet Research Agency (IRA) were African Americans. They were targeting them with messages about police brutality and then discouraging them from voting.

Swalwell was one of the main precursors of this campaign. He even opened a website to show the alleged connections between Trump and Russia. The Democrat also went to other Republican legislators but was unsuccessful in his campaign.

The fact that his links to a Chinese spy have come to light raises suspicions among journalists and politicians.

Your daily reminder that Democrats spent 2 YEARS obsessing over Trump/Russia collusion (which didn’t exist), but now are ignoring the fact that Rep. Eric Swalwell was compromised by a Chinese Communist spy.

Lower House legislator Kevin McCarthy said Eric Swalwell should be removed from the House Intelligence Committee.

The Chinese transgression

Swalwell immediately severed all ties with Fang, a US intelligence official said, and he has not been charged with any crime. Christine Fang left the country in 2015.

The issue of Chinese espionage in the United States remains dormant. The FBI is investigating how Xi Jinping, through the Communist Party of China (CCP), has infiltrated social media and civic groups to influence the behavior of citizens.

The transgression has reached corporate levels with party cells in North American companies with headquarters in China, such as PepsiCo, IBM, and 3M.

“The case demonstrates China’s strategy of cultivating relationships that may take years or even decades to bear fruit. The Chinese Communist Party knows that today’s mayors and city council members are tomorrow’s governors and members of Congress,” Axios points out.

During her years in the US, Fang was responsible for meddling in various levels of American politics. She accessed information from government officials, including habits, preferences, schedules, social media, and even rumors.

Chris Wray, director of the FBI, warns that Beijing “is involved in a highly sophisticated malign foreign influence campaign.”
