EspañolBolivia’s President Morales congratulated Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro and his regime on its numerous victories in regional elections that were held this Sunday, October 15. According to Morales, “justice prevailed despite intervention and conspiracy” even though there were countless reports of foul play on election day that gave Nicolás Maduro and his United Socialist Party an upper hand.
“I congratulate Venezuela because democracy prevailed over interventions and conspiracies,” Morales said on Twitter the day of the elections. “The people have defended their sovereignty, dignity and RRNN.”

The ruling party obtained 17 of 23 seats for governor according to the country’s National Electoral Council. During the election, more than 300,000 voters were removed from the voting booths in states where the opposition normally wins. Other polling stations were closed at the last minute, effectively blocking off any chance at victory to many opposition candidates.

Morales appears to have forgotten or disregarded these undemocratic irregularities that put the opposition party at an unfair disadvantage, and prevented them from addressing the dictatorship’s authoritarianism and human rights violations through a fair electoral process.
This was not the only message that Morales made through social media. He added that during the Venezuelan electoral process, the Secretary of the Organization of American Stats (OAS), Luis Almagro, stopped being a secretary and instead became the secretary to Donald Trump.

Venezuela is in regional elections and Alamgro goes to the State Department. He stopped being secretary of the OAS, in order to be secretary for Trump.
