It seems that an armed capture wasn’t enough to kill the train wreck known as Galt’s Gulch Chile.
After the takeover about six months ago, Ken Johnson claims that he is once again involved in the project. In a recent article put out by the PanAm Post, Ken throws accusations at the group that repossessed the property, and says that he is continuing to move forward with the project.
Of course, this is all nonsense. Ken Johnson is a con man, and nothing will come of this.
Since its inception, I have been telling whomever would listen that this entire project was a sham. It could be spotted from a mile away by anyone who was not caught up in the grandiose claims of those marketing the property.
Now many people have lost money, and libertarians have been made to look like a bunch of clowns and scam artists — which, judging from this project, would be an understandable conclusion to make.
The libertarian-newsletter industry is absolutely packed with people promoting rip-offs and outright scams. I created the Borderless Blog (and podcast) to try to combat some of this bad information. I have been putting in a lot of work and paying out of pocket to get legitimate experts to offer practical advice for those trying to live free in an unfree world.
Thank you for all of your support, I can’t do this alone. If you have Facebook and have not yet joined the Borderless Network, please come and join the conversation. I hope we can create a free international network of people that we can all benefit from. Scams like GGC could be very easily avoided through groups like this.
