The Deep State refers to an “alleged entity that coordinates efforts by government employees and others to influence state policy without regard for democratically elected leadership.” In the wake of Donald Trump‘s highly unexpected victory, it now appears that key members of the Obama administration have been actively working to sabotage Donald Trump: first as a nominee, then as president elect, and president.
This includes Obama’s CIA director John O. Brennan, FBI director James Comey, and their deputies, who have emerged as highly partisan operatives, who fall outrageously short of the standards of impartiality and objectivity expected of individuals heading up the most sensitive investigations within the FBI.

The latest bombshell revelations include high-ranking staffers at the FBI. Peter Strzok, the FBI’s number two counter-intelligence official, has been revealed to have exchanged highly partisan anti-Trump messages with a woman (also an FBI employee) with whom he was having affair. This is particularly disturbing in light of the fact that Strzok was a key player in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, and is even credited with changing language in the FBI’s report from “grossly negligent” to “extremely careless”, which played an extremely important role in Clinton’s escape from criminal indictment and prosecution.
Another top prosecutor currently working under Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissmann, has also been revealed to have strong partisan leanings. When acting Attorney General Sally Yates refused to defend Trump’s travel ban, he wrote her an email, stating:
“I am so proud. And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respect.”
Obama’s CIA director John O. Brennan, has made little secret of the fact that he has aggressively pushed for an investigation into supposed collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, despite the lack of any evidence to that effect.
New York Republican Peter King was concerned by Brennan’s apparent impartiality, noting, “There should be an investigation of what the Russians did but also an investigation of John Brennan and the hit job he seems to be orchestrating against the president-elect.”
Fundamentally, it is extremely disturbing that the people investigating Trump are brazenly and boldly proclaiming their partisan politics, with the seeming approval of Obama. FBI investigations should place a degree of impartiality and objectivity above all else. Clearly, the Deep State feels threatened by Trump, and is seeking any means possible to overturn the results of a democratic election.
