Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson is set to appear tonight alongside running mate William Weld on CNN’s “Town Hall.”

The event, which will be moderated by Chris Cuomo, is coming off of recent claims made by the candidate in which he stated he would abolish income taxes on business in order to make room for more jobs.

As a third party candidate, Johnson has been unable to achieve as much exposure as he would like. However, with as little as he has received, he is currently at a surprising 12 percent in the national polls. Johnson, who also ran for president in the 2012 presidential elections obtaining about 1 percent of the votes, claimed he feels he would be able to win the elections if he could participate in the debates.

What many people do not know is that the Commission on Presidential Debates is privately owned by the Democratic and Republican parties, and will only accept candidates into debates if they have more than 15% in the five most important polls in the country. At 12 percent, Johnson seems to be getting quite close, and it is fair to say the number may rise after tonight. Furthermore, about 18 percent of Sanders supporters said they would vote for candidate Johnson in lieu of Clinton.

Johnson will be only the third party member to be able to appear in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Tonight is an important night for everyone, particularly for disaffected Republicans and Democrats who dislike Clinton and Trump, because it is an opportunity to get to know a third candidate who could offer better options.

In the end, for those who are not satisfied with their party’s selection or have grown dissatisfied with their party in general, tonight is the night to explore options and find out more about this increasingly popular candidate.

Tune in tonight to CNN at 9 pm EST to watch the discussion.
